The student's vocabulary was not adequate enough for her to express herself. She was frustrated about not being able to understand the teacher's questions. Her pronunciation needed improvement. She needed practice with producing /v/ /t/ /th/ and /f/ sounds. She was receptive but could not say more due to the limitations of her vocabulary
The teacher highly recommends exposure to English media for familiarization and broadening of vocabulary. It would be best if the student would practice sounds that give her problems with regularity. It would be useful to apply the language whenever she could to alleviate the native accent. Practicing conversational English will be good for the student¡¯s listening and comprehension skills. Enrolling in a phone English class will be a good foundation for the student to master the language. |
